Principles

The 5 Laws of Tracta.

These are the principles Tracta is built on. Not features. Not marketing. The foundational beliefs that govern every product decision.

Documents Are Evidence, Not Files.

Every document is a claim at a point in time. Supersession, history, and context are preserved. The system never overwrites or hides what happened.

The record exists to be examined. It should be complete when the moment arrives.

Reality Beats Process.

Workflows don't define truth. Reality does. Late, messy, or out-of-order documents are still valid evidence. Tracta reflects what actually happened — not what should have happened.

Compliance is measured against evidence, not checklists.

The System Remembers What Humans Can't.

No one should track hundreds of revisions in their head. Obligations, responses, and dependencies are recorded automatically.

The system is institutional memory, not just storage.

Judgement Must Be Explainable.

Black-box reasoning is unacceptable in risk-critical work. The system never asserts without evidence. Conclusions are traceable through visible reasoning.

Authority comes from proof, not from the presence of AI.

Reduce Cognitive Load Ruthlessly.

If the system makes engineers think more, it has failed. Silence when everything aligns. Alert only when needed.

Hide complexity relentlessly. Surface only what is clear and actionable.

Closing

Tracta doesn't manage files.

It manages reality.
